PRAYING HANDS

The image of “praying hands” – two hands clasped together in prayer – is often associated not only with reverence for God, but also with sacrifice for others. The same hands that praise and give thanks to the Lord are also instruments by which His work can be accomplished on earth. Our hearts are moved to reach to those in need, and following Christ’s example, we respond to this calling through service to others.

Prayer is the cornerstone of one’s ministry, and caring hands reach out in compassion to those in need. May the image of the “praying hands” serve as a reminder to pray for all those who suffer, while also working to bring an end to their plight.
